SEVEN CUPS

Ingredients:
·         Gram dal powder (Kadala maavu) – 1 cup
·         Milk – 1 cup
·         Ghee – 1 cup
·         Grated coconut – 1 cup
·         Sugar – 3 cups

Cooking Process:
·         Mix above ingredients together in a pan and stir well till it thickens
·         Empty into a plate coated with a layer of ghee
·         Let the mix settle down for 5 mins
·         Cut into pieces of cake as per requirement of size

·         Ready to serve

MILAGU (PEPPER) KUZHAMBU

Ingredients:
·         Tamarind piece (Puli) – size of small lemon
·         Urad dal (Uluthamparuppu) – 4 tablespoon
·         Split urad dal (Odaicha uluthamparuppu) – ½ tablespoon
·         Dried red chillies (Mulagai vathal) – 4 nos
·         Mustard seeds (Kadugu) – ¼ tablespoon
·         Turmeric powder (Manjal podi) – ¼ tablespoon
·         Pepper seeds (Kurumilagu) – ½ tablespoon
·         Cumin seeds (Jeera) – ½ tablespoon
·         Curry leaves (Karuvepilai) – 10-15 leaves
·         Salt – to taste
·         Asafoetida powder

Cooking Process:
·         Soak tamarind piece for 10 mins in water and filter to prepare tamarind water
·         Fry the above ingredients in a pan without oil till urad dal turns red
·         Grind the ingredients in a mixer and keep it aside
·         In a frying pan, add a little gingelly oil and heat it 
·         Add mustard seeds and split urad dal
·         When mustard seeds start popping, add tamarind water prepared earlier
·         To the pan, add turmeric, salt and a little asafoetida powder
·         Allow to boil and add the mixed ingredients
·         Stir the contents well and let it boil for 10 mins till it thickens

·         Ready to serve
